Fiona Carson

SCULPTOR, TEXTILE ARTIST, PAINTER

Ties That Bind
Coming from a sculpture background, I draw, paint and stitch canvas and construct by weaving, plaiting, knotting and recycling. My forms have developed intuitively, evolving from mandalas to dream catchers, vessels, baskets, nests and flats. They are informed by female body shapes and my theoretical interests in feminism and psycho analysis.
